We have developed several software tools that support the management of multilingual ontologically-underpinned terminological resources (i.e. termontological resources):
- CatTerm (CatTerm.bat): this tool is developed for didactic purposes. It helps students to acquire knowledge about a certain domain based on a terminological analysis of specialised texts.
- Dictionary browser (Dictionary.bat): consultation of a dictionary.
- Multilingual Categorisation Framework Editor (CFEditor.bat): this tool is used for structuring knowledge about a domain. The tool allows users to create linguistic ontologies or categorisation frameworks.
- Termontography Workbench (DictionaryEditor.bat): this tool allows users to manually compile and annotate a corpus of (specialised) texts from which they can also manually extract terms and additional information (such as definitions). All the extracted information needs to be structured in a categorisation framework.
The tools can be downloaded below. Please note that in order to run these tools, you will need to install Java first. After you have unzipped your file, Windows users need to double click the file(s) with extension ".bat" in order to run the programme(s). Mac users need to double click the file(s) with ".jar" extension.
